To start you will need the essential cookie cutters in the shape you want, this is the fun part!

For the ingredients you won't need much.

-250g soft butter

- 500g flour

-250g caster sugar

- 3 eggs

-1 lemon or orange peel for extra sweetness.

-Start by beating the soft butter (not liquid!). 

- Add the eggs, sugar and flour.

- Mix to obtain a homogeneous paste and add the zest.

1) Form a ball by hand.

2) Roll out the dough on flour with a rolling pin and cut out the biscuits with the biscuit cutters.

3) Lastly, brush the biscuits with egg yolk and place them on a baking tray with greaseproof paper and bake for 10 minutes at 150°C (gas mark 5).
